![]() LAX SECURITY ENDANGERS LAKHS: Mumbai resident Balasaheb Borkar (50) exposed the huge chink in security at CST railway station on Monday. He travelled by train to CST with his licensed .32 revolver. “I went in and came out through the metal detectors placed at different exit and entry points. Not once did the police personnel question me. Then, on my own I went to the cops and asked them why they were unable to detect my weapon. I was shocked when they said they did not hear the beeps of the metal detector,’’ Borkar told TOI. Meanwhile, Ajmal Amir Kasab, the terrorist who has been nabbed, told the police that the killers wanted to attack CST and all the other targets, except Nariman House, between 7 and 8 pm to ensure maximum damage. However, the hunt for a vessel at Porbandar, a tiff with some fishermen at Badhwar Park and the traffic jam near Regal cinema delayed them, and probably saved many lives. |

That is what i meant. NSG is cool, Police aint. Police monitors regular internal affairs n not NSG. So change and pump up these men in uniform Police ain't cool, yes - agreed. But did you watch that video in which the terrorist who has been caught alive has been captured by a mobile camera? Did you see the way the Police in uniform and D-Staff (who were in plain clothes) along with the civilians are beating the hell out of the terrorist while he was having an AK-47 and he was firing indiscriminately, just that he lost his balance for a bit and people just jumped on him?? They're more courageous than we thought... Arguably that courageous act was on par with the Commandos, if not more when we compare!! |

SORRY I HAVENT SEEN THAT VDO
but what's the use of this courage when they weren't able to stop those terrorists in the first place. Where does their courage go when they see thugs and miscreants run free in the city and harrasing innocent people. This is something we need to rectify. I think our CM Narendra Modi did one thing right that was to create a university specially to train people in the police and such public service dept. What say SMS bro ??? |

I shall post that video as and when I find it on youtube, apart from that... Where does Police's courage go when they see thugs and miscreants run free in the city... actually its not courage that's missing, its their honesty that's missing! They have all the networks that they needs, but they take money and let the miscreants free... And regarding Mr. Modi's "announcement" (announcement ONLY, no action) of creating a university.. LOL I can only laugh at that... Every state has a Police Academy since decades where they train to tackle how to deal with various situations... Ab naam Academy se University kar diya to sunne mein achha laga na aur phir wahi "feel good factor"?? |

I am going to jump in to defend Police here. They are corrupt and most often not upto the mark. But are they trained to tackle terrorist? These guys don't get to shoot a bullet their entire lives, the government doesn't have the funds to provide ammunition. Surprisingly, when the government officials ko videsh jaana hoing, sab funds aa jaaing. Its not entirely my opinion, agar maine aaj sobah ek police wale ke interview naa dekha hota toh shaayad aapke saath agree karti. In his own words "Maine 20 saal ki service mai ek goli nai chalai hai na hi training mai." I saw some of them vdos of these police men, with a dandaa in their hands, going after the terrorist....its amazing. SMS has mentioned the terrorist who was caught. Well station par bhi ek police wale ne terrorist ko pakar liya tha, he had no gun, no backup ..nothing yet he leaped onto the guy with AK. Tabhi second terrorist ne peeche se usse goli mar thi..thats courageous enough for me. He had a choice to run, he opted not to. I mean what else do you expect from people like this .... Indian Police can do a lot if provided with the equipment and training. |

I agree with you too. But police often misuses its powers in harrasing people. And also keep on neglecting people's security and national issues.

Notti bhai, i guess apart from the Politicians and the Cops, the bureaucracy isn't to be spared either... Roots of the non-functioning of basic job start from Bureaucrats !! |

Yep, have you ever gone to INCOME TAX office. Saale gand marne mein ek second nahi chodte. And as far as i know, if you wanna get out of a particular case (a false case) even then you need to bribe not only the assessing officer but the whole line above him. That's the level (like the tip of the ice-burg). |

That's the level (like the tip of the ice-burg). I saw one of the interviews of Sanjay Dutt, and he said, aaj ke zamaane mein Gandhigiri nahi chal sakti... What he said made a lot of sense.. Terrorists have attacked Taj and Oberoi, we cant tell them, lo bhai Marriott par bhi attack karo and wait and say, dekha nahi kiya na... Infact, he reiterated that when the Security guard slaps Munna the second time, he returns with a tight one back at him, coz Gandhiji ne nahi kaha dusra maare to kya karne ka... Hum ne bahot laafe khaa liye (as in from terrorists ie. numerous blasts n now Mumbai) abhi time hai unko ek rakh ke chipkaane ka! |
