Start
Run Type-Regedit. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control. Click on the "Control" Folder. Select "WaitToKillServiceTimeout" Right click on it and select Modify. Set it a value lower than 2000 (Mine is set to 200). Thats it guys and see the difference when u shut down ur PC. |

This is not something good.
This does nothing but reduces the wait time to kill applications that are not responding. Atleast I would never do it in my pc cause my UTorrent takes long to shut down when there are many files downloading. The Utorrent has to close properly or else the files will get corrupted(ofcourse utorrent auto recovers the files, you do not lose your files). But if program like yahoo messenger are shut down forcefully the plugin are not loaded. Basically this does not speed up your computer but rather forcefully shuts down application faster. But thanks for the hack, I will infact use it to increase the time as sometimes I can see that some my utorrent sometimes does not respond and is forefully shut down. |
