It is shameful that nobody wants to invest money there ..we all are responsible for that thats what i feel
Please comment bhai

i would not comment anything with or against............

but are these real facts ? if they are facts then on what bases they are
facts~?

anyway...if they are facts.......then bihar is not under developed......

and yea..offcourse proper utilization of man power and knowledge should be done....it can be in any sector.....but for sure.....investing money in bihar from a company wil be successful.......but might not be in every field as lack of infrastructure.....

Bihar is underdeveloped and it makes sense ..but there are possible reasons
the human being first thing which can be easily juged is attitude .Biharis has potential nodoubt when they work they work ...but i dont understand why most of us dont wanan work home ..it may be one of the reason..

see a little example of laloo what he has done for bihar n where we r today.the same laloo when lost the election then he is trying to do some gud work for country so that the whole country people may not abuse .nd infact he had done he has crated a profit in railways history ,IIM A guys had recently done a case study on railways profit.

i m not blaming anyone since we r integrated part of this system.
nd for this concept that the other states r deterorating our image is completely obsolete. we r only responsible for these situation...........

brain drain ( what r the reasons ??????????)

at least not a single national level roads (leave the international standards).

not a single planed nd well managed city.

not a single engineering college of national level.

not a single medical college n hospital which can fulfill its

complete standard.

not a single industry ( ???? r the reasons)

we posses all things brain, talent, labour ..but still there are many qeustions remain unanswered ..instpite of a good man power intelligent crew what is the reason of all this ...and what should be the possible solutions

Its ok, the facts must be true since you must have quoted from somewhere...

Now my question is, you have been talking about Kerela, AP, Gujarat, TN etc.
Can you give us the proportion of the population of Bihar and the other states? I think you will get the answer yourself smile.gif

My prospective: A wounded Civilization
Please read
Bihar....mention the name and what the image comes to the mind is a lousy state where there is no rule of law....all the people a bunch of unscruplous fellows....the administration as corrupt as possible ....in short what ever can go wrong ..would go wrong in Bihar.

I originally hail from this state and have been out of this state for quite some time now ( about 5 yrs) .......have heard what people think about this place, have seen people face trouble just because they belong to this place, have had a few sharp exchanges with people who have passed degoratory comments about Biharis in general, but what what pains me is that everybody.....almost everybody considers Bihar to be the embodiment of whatever can go wrong.

When we read about history of India in our history books....we read about the powerful kingdom of Magadh..the same Kingdom, the story of whose army made even the powerful Alaxander to turn back, one certain Kautilya -whose Arthshashtra is still considered to be one of the best books to act as a guide to how to govern a nation, a certain Nalanada, a certain Vikramshila...The Golden Period. The same Magadh whose capital Patliputra saw rulers from the likes of Chandragupta Maurya, Ashoka to the Guptas -Chandragupta,Vikramaditya---the Legendry Ruler of India,Samudragupta..........yes the same Magadh whose rulers graced over the Golden Period of Indian History has been reduced to a bunch of jokes by one modern ruler who in just a space of twenty years destroyed whatever had been accrued over the millenia...prestige....pride...wealth everything.

From the sacred seat of learning- Vikramshila University, whose ruins speak of best as this glorious seat of learning was ,constructed during Pal dynasty,Nalanda the famous seat of learning in ancient India which attracted students from far and wide, Nalanda University library which is said to have burnt for over six months after being set to fire by the invaders.---today lie thou in a state of darkness....o motherland......what a fall.

The land of the Buddha and Mahavir--the land which gave the world the message of peace, love and brotherhood--------today you are considered the land of chaos- where only loot, extrotion and murders take place.......my heart bleeds out to see thy sorry state.

Not long ago you were known for luminaries like Babu BirKunwar Sigh--the octagenerian feudal form Jagdishpur..who took the battle into the British camp during the First War of Indian Independence--the man who sacrificed his arm to Ganga maiya because it had received a bullet shot form the British Army,Dr. Rajendra Prasad-the first President of India, Sachidanand Sinha -the first Presdent of the Constituent Assembly of India, the quintesenntial Ramdhari Singh Dinkar to name a few........and today ....all are forgotten......and one man represents Bihar.....the face of Bihar which brings a shame to state of being a Bihari. From the days where parents named their children Bihari to the state today where a certain ABV had to say he is not a Bihari.....the slide has been steep.

The simple Bihari--the bihari who has lost his self esteem....the Biharis, who would pack the trains like hoards and pour out into the streets of Delhi and Punjab--would take all the slur, all the butts and slog day-in-day-out in the fileds of Punjab and Haryana ---while the fields of my motherland cry for water and electricity---shame on you politicians.

Only hope that the days of Bihar would come back, once again we Biharis would call ourselves Bihari with pride, the fields of Bihar would be green again, the mindless bloodshed going on in the name of Caste politics would stop, once again it would become the seat of learning and good governance that it used to be.....just pray to God that “those“ days come back soon.....motherland till then my heart weeps with yours

Hats off to you, (Laloo bhai) for the way you have put out some astonishing facts about your [and ours, too] state, Bihar. I can totally understand your feelings and the pain, which is all put above in words and appreciate your effort in telling the people here on DDF about it, which am sure would reach out to others too.

I only wish Laloo Prasad Yadav too had the oppurtinity to see this. Also hope that Nitish Kumar will change as much as possible.

Corruption is a menace and has built into the system of our country, only the determined will of all the people to say a firm NO, when there is need to bribe, would probably change our country a lot.

Last but definately not the least, in my opinion (dont know, how many would agree) the best and easiest way to set things right here would be,
Making compulsary a years service in the army, for all able bodied citizens and make voting in elections, compulsary too.

I did go through the Post# 6 and that has made me realise that Bihar was quite a prosperous state and honestly it still possesses lot of Natural Resources (all those mines, etc), lot of intelligent brains. But then I ask myself, what's going wrong? Where is the state wrong?

Why do we still have MPs from Bihar fist fighting in the Parliament (as it happened yesterday). Showering tons of verbal abuses at each other.

Why were FOUR people killed because they steal a buffalo? (an incident that happened a week ago).
I remember a train was looted twice by two different gangs within a span of 100kms (happened in 2004).

Why do we still see maximum number of booth-capturing cases in Bihar at the time of elections?

You think its normal? To me it sounds very abnormal, I feel bad for it. We're in 2006 for god-sake!
We understand that not a single state in India is an "ideal state". But where do we see Bihar?

You mentioned the huge number of graduates from Bihar, the number is bigger than graduates of AP and Kerela. Have you imagined the number of illiterates in Bihar are more than total population of a few states of India?

I dont have anything against the state of Bihar, absolutely NOT. I have a lot of sympathy for the state and I just hope it would prosper and be an ideal state.
Believe me, it will happen... may be not today... may be not tomorrow... BUT, MAY BE TOMORROW!!! smile.gif

I understand all the facts bro regarding the booth catpuring UP is number one ..bihar have been the aim of media but we are not here to see each others lackness. You asked so many questins i understandi dont have the answer i wish i had. even if we have large number of graduates what those graduates are doing why they are not teaching or making aware to the people of bihar. you talk about sympathy but does it really help ? Bihar dont need sympathy and yes i am looking forward for tommorrow
